Kohl’s launches American Idol inspired clothes line
Have you ever watched the American Idol and wished you could wear garments and clothes inspired by the show? If you have ever dreamt of wearing those clothes, you really can make your dream come true. The American Idol phenomenon has now passed on to the fashion world. Kohl’s has partnered with the Fox show to launch a unique American Idol clothing collection under a fresh brand, Authentic Icon. You can find the fashion clothing line, named Authentic Icon (AI) in the junior’s and young men’s departments at all Kohl’s stores starting in April.
Kohl’s exclusive ‘American Idol’ collection
This is not the first attempt by Kohl’s to merge fashion and music. A couple of months back Kohl’s worked with American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez over a collection in an effort to bring old Hollywood glamor, combined with a little bit of Jenny-from-the-block, to buyers. This time, in its second attempt to marry fashion and music, this well known budget department store has revealed plans to start a unique American Idol collection under a fresh brand, Authentic Icon. Now, the American Idol-inspired clothing is going to target junior Kohl’s customers and, certainly, fans of the famous TV show that has created megastars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Katherine McPhee and Jennifer Hudson.
This launch draws together an award winning television show and a national retailer to make a new collection for shoppers. It is going to build upon the strong influence of entertainment and music on today’s style aware customers. The line was revealed by Kohl’s in a press release. It will be sold from April through June of 2012 to coincide with the 11th season on American Idol.
The AI collection includes items you would be expecting the rock concert-going crowd to wear along with a suitable head bob and sign of the horns. The collection is going to be exclusively sold at Kohl’s through the end of the “American Idol” 11th season in June. For ladies, printed tees, candy-striped denim, denim vests, printed maxi dresses and jackets, while for men, vests, blazers, printed tees and oxfords and a denim shirt having an American flag design on its back which reads “US Tour.” With lots of blue, red and white, the American flag takes on a huge part in the collection, with a touch of punk, stripes, scattered stars and a lot of denim.
American Idol is one of the top shows on the American Television. On an average, each episode of American Idol usually has 16 to 20 million viewers. If you are one of the American Idol fans, you surely would love to try out the Authentic Icon clothing line.
